Potency Verification Testing
We test CBD products with precision so you can verify your label’s potency information. Our protocols also meet the USDA’s interim standards for accurate THC and CBD potency testing. We utilize Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with ultraviolet detection, so you can feel confident in the results. Including CBD and THC, we test for 17 cannabinoids, 38 terpenes and 15 flavonoids to accurately profile your products’ flavor, fragrance and therapeutic effects.

How accurate are the results?
ACS Laboratory’s methodology is tested and proven. ACS was awarded 14 Emerald Test Badges in Spring 2019, several of those were for accurate, consistent and proficient heavy metal testing, pesticide screening, and microbial tests. Our methods are tried and proven.
We utilize HPLC to determine the precise levels of THC, and CBD along with the remaining cannabinoids and terpenes.
Finally, we utilize the USDA’s mandated equation THC = (%THCA) x 0.877 + (Delta9), to guarantee that your product is compliant for sales.
ACS tests for pesticides and contaminants in accordance with the Florida Department of Agriculture’s pending Hemp Program guidelines. We know the most common toxins and the maximum levels of each contaminant, which are safe for human consumption. We test CBD hemp, extracts and finished products to identify the sources of contamination.

Am I required by law to test for all of these contaminants?
The FDA is currently crafting testing guidelines for CBD products like supplements, oils and cosmetics, but you must still ensure that your product is safe to ingest and use. According to Florida’s Hemp Guidelines, you must test for all contaminants including residual solvents, pesticides, microbial matter, mycotoxins and heavy metals. The testing services above are fully compliant with Florida’s requirements.
COMPLIANCE TESTING SERVICES
ACS Laboratory’s testing panel and protocol is compliant with Florida’s Hemp Program. ACS meets federal requirements by testing to the standards of Florida, the strictest state. The compliance panel consists of: Cannabinoid Potency, Pesticides, Residual Solvents (unless its flower), heavy metals, mycotoxins, moisture, microbiology.
R + D TESTING
At ACS Laboratory, we conduct R+D testing, intended for manufacturers and cultivators who want to improve the process of creating CBD products. R&D tests are conducted using the same protocols as compliance tests. You may choose compliance testing if you want a full panel to guarantee that your product is free of all contaminants above.
