Potency Verification Testing

We test cannabis products with an award-winning methodology. We utilize Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with ultraviolet detection to deliver reliable cannabinoid and terpene profiling. We currently test for the 16 most common cannabinoids as well as 38 terpenes and 15 flavonoids to accurately profile your products flavor, fragrance and therapeutic effects.

How accurate are the results?

ACS Laboratory’s methodology is tested and proven. ACS was awarded 14 Emerald Test Badges for accurate, consistent and proficient potency testing. We utilize the HPLC to determine the precise levels of THC, CBD and cannabinoids, which determine the legal definition and strength of your product.

 

Can i test my cannabis with acs if it was harvested outside of florida?

Due to the fact that cannabis is federally illegal, we can only accept cannabis samples from licensed Florida cultivators also known as Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers.  (MMTCS)

CONTAMINANT TESTING

ACS tests for pesticides and contaminants in accordance with the Florida Department of Health’s guidelines for medical cannabis. We test in accordance to the Guidelines set for by the Florida Department of Health. Florida is known for certain contaminants such as mycotoxins and pathogenic microbiology. We test plant, extracts and finished products to identify the sources of contamination so you can ensure that patients are receiving a clean product.

Am I required by law to test for all of these contaminants?

In Florida, you must test medical cannabis for contaminants to ensure they are safe for patient use. The Florida Department of Health is working with Florida’s Department of Agriculture to determine rules for toxins such as residual solvents, pesticides, microbial matter, mycotoxins, heavy metals and pathogens. The testing services above are fully compliant with the medical requirements and may apply to adult-use products in the future.

At ACS Laboratory, we also conduct R+D testing, intended for companies to improve their product development process. R&D tests are conducted using the same protocols as compliance tests. However, R+D tests may be selected individually based on one’s category of interest. The results are not final and therefore are not reported.
