How accurate are the results?
ACS Laboratory’s methodology is tested and proven. ACS was awarded 14 Emerald Test Badges in Spring 2019, several of those were for accurate, consistent and proficient heavy metal testing, pesticide screening, and microbial tests. Our methods are tried and proven.
We utilize HPLC to determine the precise levels of THC, and CBD along with the remaining cannabinoids and terpenes.
Finally, we utilize the USDA’s mandated equation THC = (%THCA) x 0.877 + (Delta9), to guarantee that your product is compliant for sales.
ACS tests for pesticides and contaminants in accordance with the Florida Department of Agriculture’s pending Hemp Program guidelines. We know the most common toxins and the maximum levels of each contaminant, which are safe for human consumption. We test CBD hemp, extracts and finished products to identify the sources of contamination.
FULL PANEL CONTAMINANT TESTS INCLUDE
Am I required by law to test for all of these contaminants?
The FDA is currently crafting testing guidelines for CBD products like supplements, oils and cosmetics, but you must still ensure that your product is safe to ingest and use. According to Florida’s pending Hemp Guidelines, you must test for all contaminants including residual solvents, pesticides, microbial matter, mycotoxins and heavy metals. The testing services above are fully compliant with Florida’s proposed requirements and will be updated if required to apply to the FDA’s future rules.
COMPLIANCE TESTING SERVICES
ACS Laboratory’s testing panel and protocol is compliant with Florida’s Hemp Program proposal. On a federal level, ACS meets the USDA’s recent interim hemp rules which require that laboratories analyze THC and THCA, utilize Liquid or Gas Chromatography tests, provide electronic results, and register with the DEA. ACS also exceeds laboratory quality requirements through our ISO17025 accreditation.
R + D TESTING
At ACS Laboratory, we conduct R+D testing, intended for manufacturers and cultivators who want to improve the process of creating CBD products. R&D tests are conducted using the same protocols as compliance tests. You may choose compliance testing if you want a full panel to guarantee that your product is free of all contaminants above.
